Status and Errors
A few years ago I started to publish the CallerToolBox after using it for many years myself. This package satiesfies my personal Caller-needs and developement has closed.
However sometimes there are some small things that occur to me and I find small enhancements. I always do the changes and publish them without any separate announcement. I doubt that anyone will notice the changes.
Recently there was a larger error: I updated my websites to HTTPS to offer better security. A few days ago I notices that this change broke the Download-Links to the updates and the install of additional programs. Now this error has been resolved and everything should work again. You also may update to the latest version from within the program.
Now and then I receive error messages from the error-module of the program (the bright red Screen). With only one excemption NOBODY has addet their email-address. This means I am not able to answer or ask for additional information. I try to resolve the issues anyway. However often it seams to be due to individual problems on that machine – and without additional information I’m not able to help.
This leads me to the question: Should I continue to publish updated versions and possibly update the documention to the latest status? Up to now I have NOT RECEIVED ANY INDICATION that somebody uses the program on regular basis. This doesn’t bother me, as I myself have everything I need and it is not a commercial product. However I would like to know. I would appreciate any email even if you tell why you don’t like it.
